11/12/2008 MM026 – MM/VINDICATRIX 12”
MM026 has emerged as quick as a flash – too quickly. Originally intended as another 10” the format grew o'ernight into a 12”. Contained within are two tracks for spores to rave at. MM tease some libel on the 'A' with an ode to MJ called '24 Million Or Sell Neverland' while o'er on the 'AA' bauxite bard Vindicatrix gets swallowed whole by a Shackleton/MM dual version of his orchard musing 'Private Places' – available now at the usual head shops including Boomkat
11/11/2008 AG VS DGV - ‘LOS LOGOS 4’ – TOME HINAUS
Admiral Greyscale has a selection of his finest MM daubings coagulated in the latest of DGV’s ‘Los Logos’ series. The linen-clad 4 reels in some of the world’s finest locks & curls o’er 568 perb Specsavers and keeps the likes of Magma in shelf-buckling business. AG dovetails several classic MM designs from ‘Dead Air’ & ‘The Tower – Parts VIII-XVIII’ etc without birthing a sweat - this is no surprise as he’s currently in training for The Great North Run. 06/11/2008 MASSIVE SMALLS – BUMPER CROP – MM024/25
While Fawkes has been busying his cadaver by rehashing the saltpetre MM too has been tilling the hardened soil with both claws. There are currently two new releases swilling around from Shackleton/MM & Cosmic Dennis Greenidge in the form of a 10” & mp3 respectively. Also, speaking of cadavers the MM014 Shackleton/MM 10” has been re-pressed in a limited quantity as a surplus of labels was discovered under the Admiral as he exited the Nesst. Again, these can be snaffled up at Boomkat etc. More news to come within daze - BM
09/10/2008 ADMIRALGREYSCALE – NUFF IS NUFF – A SALUTE
Sadly, after many years of staunch creative input within the MM Nesst Admiral Greyscale has decided that permanent shore leave is now due. A personal debt of thanks to him is owed by me for rinsing his vast palette o’er the years in the name of MM and for sharing an uncanny & unique friendship (intact). A small paragraph cannot really do him justice but thankfully the legacy of MM001 thru to MM024 will at least lend some permanency to his artistic genius. The visual aesthetic of the label is hugely indebted to the one like Gary Mills and his quill is the sharpest out there. MM will undoubtedly be fingers & thumbs for a while. Pure skill is rare - Gary has acres to bask in and his future projects will raise bridges & brows. All the best mate. A font farewell - Baron Mordant
16/08/2008 MORDANT MUSIC TRAVELOGUES 5: 'DATA CADENCE' - OUT NOW
A fifth stop on the 'Travelogues' tour slips a mike into the in-tray for the office ambience of 'Data Cadence'. Meanwhile, Mr Maxted's 'Lives & Privacy (94-89)' LP has received a superb notice from Release magazine. The piece can be read in the reviews section here - many thanks to stalwart Mordant supporter Peter Marks.

27/07/2008 THE SUNDAY TIMES - 'LIFE OUTSIDE THE LIBRARY' ARTICLE FEATURING MM
Today's edition of The Sunday Times includes an article on library music by Bethan Cole in which MM feature. We're flattered to have been approached for the piece and would like to thank Bethan for thinking of us (for the second time - Ms Cole penned an initial article which featured Mordant in the same paper back in March 2007). This new piece can be read here if your newsagent failed to furnish.
MM015 - 'Carrion Squared' is still available at the Mordant Music website-exclusive knock-down price of £6 (and comprises offcuts from a Boosey & Hawkes commission of brand new material rather than the 'remix' project referred to in the article) - to buy or read more click here.

24/09/2007 EXCLUSIVE NEW TRACK FOR THE WIRE TAPPER 18
Mordant Music are delighted to announce the contribution of a brand new exclusive track to 'The Wire Tapper 18', the latest in The Wire magazine's series of free CDs. The CD comes with the latest issue and coincides with The Wire's 25th birthday revelries.
Entitled 'Den On VelluMM', the piece entwines material from two forthcoming MM releases. The first of these is a lovingly selected compendium of music from cosmic art minstrel Dennis Greenidge. This ebullient opus will appear before the year goes off.
The second volley on MM's horizon will occur sometime in 2008, and will in effect be the follow-up to 'Dead Air'. This major album release will mainline MM to nerve endings presently hardened & haunted by 2007's so far stolid pickings.
This track will only be available for as long as the magazine is on the shelves.
03/09/2007 All newcomers to MM and any reticent punters dredging the site may be interested to know that as from today a 12 track Mordant Music selection is available to download in mp3 format from Boomkat - click here to peruse and/or buy. The full handpicked sampler - comprising cuts from right across the MM canon including deleted rarities and a brand new exclusive track - is priced at a reprehensible £1.99. 01/07/2007 We've finally received a copy of the new Die Gestalten Verlag book 'Supersonic - Visuals For Music', in which the artwork for MM's 'Dead Air' campaign is featured. It's a mighty tome which highlights some stunning music-based packaging & poster graphics from the last year or two.
This is a highly recommended book for anyone with a passion for design and/or alternative & electronic music. Mordant Music are overjoyed to have been involved and would like to extend their sincere thanks to DGV.
09/06/2007 MM would like to welcome all to our brand new web valve.
